Tutoring Legacy Scholarship

Introduction

The Tutoring Legacy Scholarship program awards outstanding university students from low-income families in exchange for their tutoring and mentoring services. Each recipient is required to engage in 100 hours of after-school tutoring to similarly disadvantaged elementary and middle school students.

Established in 2007, the program has received widespread acknowledgment and praise from social welfare organizations, schools, and government agencies. The scholarship not only alleviates recipients’ financial pressures, but also allows a younger generation of students to each gain a mentor, bolstering their confidence in school and in life.
