China Development Foundation has been promoting the "Nutrition 100 Program" for 18 consecutive years, which provides food subsidies for students in rural areas and support the healthy growth of the next generation. This year's "Nutrition 100 Program" has increased the amount of subsidy for each school, with a total investment of NT$5 million to help 8,000 students throughout Taiwan. In addition to providing extra food allowances, senior executives and employees of CDF have taken the opportunity to volunteer at schools in rural areas to support the growth of children with actions.

China Development Foundation’s "Nutrition 100 Program" continues to provide long-term food subsidies for schools in rural areas, hoping to help students with less resources in the most practical and direct way. This year, the Foundation is planning to invest NT$5 million in subsidizing 152 schools throughout Taiwan. “The overall subsidies from government has been reduced in recent years, but the cost of school lunch has continued to rise. The additional food subsidies from "Nutrition 100 Program" have provided timely support to make up for the shortfall in lunch funding, so that students can enjoy healthy and nutritious meals,” the director of general affairs of Santiao Elementary School in Changhua County said.

Baolai Junior High School in Kaohsiung spends its "Nutrition 100" subsidy on providing breakfast for students. The school's lunch secretary, Mr. Chen, shared, "Most families in rural areas are in a difficult financial situation and with intergenerational parenting. Therefore, many students come to school with empty stomachs, which affects their concentration in learning. The subsidy is a perfect solution to the school's dilemma of raising funds for breakfast."

In conjunction with the "Nutrition 100 Program", the China Development Foundation once again started the "Lunch Date" volunteer program. Michelle Yu, Executive Vice President of CDIB Capital Group, headed her colleagues to visit Jingtong Elementary School in New Taipei City. They served as chefs for the day and prepared a mouthwatering lunch with international specialties for the children in the rural area. Michelle Yu shared with the present students, "Today, CDF volunteers are helping to serve food. I hope that when you grow up, you can also do it for the juniors, so that the spirit of contribution can be passed on.” This also corresponds to CDF's philosophy of fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. In the future, CDF will continue to reach out to the underprivileged students in rural areas and promote social inclusion.
